This blog is in respect to the single man and woman.

I would admonish that today be the first day of a new and fresh outlook on your singlehood. I truly believe that what is happening is that we are getting away from God's original intention regarding the "season of singleness"

First of all remember that it is a SEASON. There are stages in our lives: birth, life, death-- winter, spring, summer and fall etc...

The Lord created this season to be the most MAXIMIZED time of your life: you have the TIME at this point to focus on all of the things that matter most to Him. Because there will come a day where your focus, time, and responsibilities will be shifted to focusing on the requirements of marriage.

The bible clearly expresses this in I Corinthians 7. Please take the time to read it.

The season of singleness is for a purpose and a reason. I encourage you not to overlook this time. Refrain from viewing it as a time of lonliness, doom, desperation and emptiness. Your life is NOW full of possibilites and time to spend the best time with God that you will need. It is a time to be whole, fulfilled, and be intimate with the One who knows HOW He's going to do what He's going to do.

If you take the time to ask any married man or woman about this they will respond a little like this, "I love marriage. I love my spouse don't get me wrong, but I would trade places with you in a heartbeat"

It's not b/c they don't value their covenant but simply TIME and OPPORTUNITY to focus on other things and God things have to take a backseat more than they desire.

Listen, after you have written your list and expressed your desires to God about how you want him/her to look and be...put it down and rest on it. He has already constructed this part of your life to happen and He will not disappoint you in who He chooses.

Your prayer should become: "Lord, I take this time in my life to make it all about you, to spend intimate time with you like I've never known. Fill me and complete me in you so that when it is time for my life to be shared I will have maximized all of my time with You. Make these days so sweet between us that once I'm married I will always be able to look back on them and be grateful that I have discovered some unforgettable moments with You".

Trust Me, you will draw from those moments. Here's the BONUS: Once you have fully given this area over to God, He will share with you HOW you will meet and/or know your mate. Receive that and set it down again as you wait in faith and expectation.

Secondly, change the way that you view "waiting" You are NOT standing still while waiting. The term waiting in the Greek regarding the scripture "they that wait upon the Lord" means "drawing to" and "being bound to". So consider this: as you are believing for your mate you are meanwhile drawing closer to and being bound to the Father. It is HERE that you will find the peace, the exhale that you think you are waiting for in someone else.

The moment you release this concern is the moment that you are going to view your lives TOTALLY different and you're going to have the joy NOW that you think someone else is going to bring.

I could share SO MUCH MORE but let me end with this. Please seize this season. Don't let it's purpose pass you by. You will need it for marriage. Don't allow your marriage to be deficient because you failed to access the Single Season for it's purpose...to be with Him.
